St Anthony of Padua Parish Commemorates the Graduation Ceremony of its Participants

Monday Holidays Parish sports and recreational camp 2024 commemorates the graduation ceremony of its participants
 
St Anthony of Padua Parish, graduates participants of ” Monday holidays parish sports and recreational camp 2024″ through a thanks giving and praise Mass and a graduation ceremony held on the 25th and 26th of August 2024.
The camp which ran from the 1st of July to the 26th of August 2024 was organized for children aged 3-18 years with the aim of enhancing their abilities, skills and talents through a variety of sports and recreational activities alongside enhancing the Coaching Academy.
The graduation ceremony began with a Thanksgiving Mass on Sunday, where participants, facilitators and Coaches gave thanks to God for guiding everyone throughout the program.
However, the ceremony continued on Monday with children showcasing their newly enhanced abilities, developed skills and acquired talents. They competed in sports like karate, cone games, badminton, and volleyball, with competitions between both kids and adults. In addition to the sports, the children also performed dances, comedy skits, and other forms of entertainment.
While the Morning Mass Sports Group in their new outfits were very present as the made sports, cooked for the children and created great fun and togetherness.
The highlight of the ceremony entailed the distribution of fifty (50) pieces of sports attires and fifty (50) pieces of portable bags provided by the Chartered Higher Institute of Technology and Management – *CHITECHMA* , alongside books to prepare them ahead of the upcoming school year.
On the other hand Certificates offered by the Biaka University Institute of Buea – *BUIB* were awarded to every participant including the the Mothers of the Morning Mass Sports Group, facilitators, Coaches and the Children who were always available to train and teach them throughout the two months program.
The Monday Holidays Parish Sports and Recreational Camp has proven to be a valuable initiative, not only in enhancing and developing the children’s abilities, skills and talents, but also in fostering a sense of community and gratitude within the parish. *Évangélisation through Sports*
Championing this program was the St Anthony of Padua Parish Buea Town whose parishioners and space was used, the Catholic Education Secretariat who supervised the program and the Volcanic Warriors Sports and Recreational Academy Buea, who designed the program and gave its technical expertise.
