A Two-day Physical Education and Sports Seminar for Catholic Schools and Colleges in the Diocese of Buea.
After some critical notes, we thought the performance in sports has to be best realized if we train and empower the trainers (teachers in Nursery, Primary, and secondary schools) who did not go to sports schools (non-sports professionals) who are the initiators to the grassroots sports and the starters of Athletes Long Term Development in sports (LTAD).
This is how the Catholic Education Secretary seized this great concept to empower, enrich, and enhance sports masters in Catholic Secondary Schools and Colleges alongside all teachers of Catholic nursery and primary schools within the Buea Sub-Division, with a two days seminar on Physical Education and Sports. Held in Bishop Rogan College, Small Soppo on Friday 22/09/2023, and Saturday 23/09/2023 with over 100 participants.
The teachers were drilled with brief basic theories and many more physical activities and minor games for their students and pupils.
It will continue with the facilitators to regularly assist these teachers in the schools for guidance and also to other towns like Limbe and Tiko.
The seminar was organized by the Catholic Education Secretary Rev. Fr. Vincent Mesue, Coordinated by Coach IFOSE Emile MBELLA and Facilitators include Coach Maloba Perez Ordine and Mr. Ojong Tambia
